Rise of Azshara - World of Warcraft - Thermal Vents assets

The thermal vents biome evolved quite a bit over development, with Phil Zhang doing the initial concept painting for the area. My favorite assets from this biome are the tubeworms, which I rigged and animated in Blender before sending them to 3DS Max to set up with materials. I contributed the exterior lighting in this area and made many custom waterfalls to fill out our waterfall kit.

The texturing on the thermal vents was done by blending three different tiling textures together via the vertex alpha.
