Rise of Azshara - World of Warcraft - Deepsea assets

The deep sea kit was inspired by all a manner of fangly fish. Towards the beginning of development the team visited the Aquarium of the Pacific, where the crazy comb jellyfish I saw eventually became the inspiration for the glow patterns on these ferns. The fin trees are taken from lionfish and the spiral plants were originally tubeworms that ah, spiraled out of control. Together they make an elegant but deadly bouquet.
